Tarpon Fishing Report
April tarpon fishing here in the Florida Keys has been fantastic. We are getting reports from all over saying that the Florida Keys tarpon fishing has started early and being very consistent with tarpon ranging in size from 30 – 130 lbs. Some of the tarpon are showing migrational patterns moving along the Atlantic Ocean side of the Keys in the shallows. Key West tarpon fishing kicked off back in February with many Key West visitors enjoying some great catches.
Florida Keys Tarpon fishing guides are using live bait such as crabs, pinfish, pilchards and mullet to fish for them in the deeper waters and channels. When flats fishing light artificial or fly fishing works best.
Tarpon fishing season in the Florida Keys will go from Now through to July with many tarpon hanging around through October.
