Tarpon can be found in the waters around Key West year-round, with the peak season typically occurring from April to July. During this time, thousands of tarpon migrate through the area, offering anglers the opportunity to hook into these silver giants.

The tarpon migration in Key West starts in late April and goes through into July. However there are tarpon in Key West all year long. We call them resident fish. In the late winter we have fish ranging in size from 60 – 170 bs big fish with lots of attitude and the fall we have what we call “babies” hiding in the mangroves and shallows.
